Close Brothers Motor Finance finalists in the 2025 FS Awards for three categories! A milsestone for our team and customers 

 

At Close Brothers Motor Finance, we often say that success isn’t measured in spreadsheets or targets, but in the trust we earn, the experiences we create, and the people we support along the way. That’s why I’m so proud to share that we’ve been named finalists in three categories: Customer Experience, Employee Experience, and Trust, at this year’s FS Awards, which celebrate success in the financial services community.

 

Being finalists in these awards is a celebration of the values we live by every day. It reflects the confidence our customers place in us, the dedication of our colleagues here in Ireland, and our ongoing commitment to doing what’s right with transparency, fairness, and care. What makes this recognition special is that it touches on every part of who we are. 

 

For our customers, it’s about knowing that finance doesn’t have to be complicated or stressful. From small touches like personalised welcome videos to the speed and simplicity of our CloseConnect portal, we’re working hard to make the car finance journey smoother and more straightforward. We’ve introduced new products like ClosePCP to improve market access, and we will continue to adapt and grow our offering with customer needs in mind. 

 

Now, we all know that the Irish way is to turn red-faced at praise, but to my team and colleagues, there is no escaping it. They have really outdone themselves in building something that not only feels truly special but is truly local, too. Over the past few years, we’ve grown a dedicated Irish team, made up of local talent, working every day for Irish customers. We’ve invested in wellbeing, training, and open conversations that allow people to thrive, and when our people feel supported, they pass that same care on to the customers and communities we serve.

 

And when it comes to trust, well, that’s the foundation of everything. It’s earned in the everyday moments like being clear in our communication, making fair decisions, and giving back to the communities around us. It’s also about keeping our promises to invest locally, to be there when people need us, and to help Ireland’s motor finance market grow in a way that works for you, Irish motorists. 

 

These nominations are a proud moment, but more than that, they’re a reminder of why we do what we do. To our customers, thank you for trusting us and to my team, thank you for your energy, empathy, and continued commitment. And to our dealer and broker partners, thank you for choosing to work with us and believing in what we’re building together.

 

Awards are wonderful recognition, but the real prize is the relationships we build every day. We’ll have the honour of joining our peers for the award ceremony on the 23rd of October at The Mansion House, Dublin, and we’ll be sure to keep you updated on how we get on.
